1. Sriram Panda
He is an odia actor, director and also a screenplay writer hailing from Nabarangapur, Odisha. He was born in 1954. Sriram Panda started his film carrier in Dhir Biswal’s ‘Dharitri’ which was directed by Nitai Palit in the year 1972 which was an extraordinary accomplishment around then. That was his success. He knows as a popular film star of Odisha in the 1980s and 1990s.In the year 1992 in his carrier he quit the entertainment world and join the Bihar school of yoga at Mungar. And know as yoga minister and renamed as Swami Nitya Chaitanya. He worked with many actors generally Mahesweta Roy. He composed, coordinated and created a film know as Kurukshetra in 1988. During his 20 year carrier he got a few state level honors and accreditation from media and odia cine public. Among his all movies few movies are so much famous like Priyatama, Hisab nikas, Jhilmil, janmadada, Jaga balia, samaya bada balawan, Sankha mahuri, Swapna sagara. In 1978 , three of their movies were delivered in succession- Priyatama, Jhilmil and Janmadada.
2. Bijaya Mohanty
He was veteran indian film actor of odia cinema born in 8 April 1950 at Kendrapada. And he honored a national film award. He was married to Tandra Ray, she is also an odia film actress. In 1977, Bijaya Mohanty started his carrier in odia film industry with the first film ‘Chilika’. He also started his acting carrier when he was studying in M. K. C. High school. After graduation he joined the national drama school. He made his debut with the film ‘Chilika Tire’ in 1997 which won national award of that year. He had acted in a number of odia films including ‘Sahari bagha’, Danda balunga, Naga phasa, Chaka bhaunri, Samaya bada balawan,Ghara mora swarga, Ei sangharsh and Chaka akhi sabu dekhuchi are most hitted films. He acted many roles like villain, comedian to character roles etc. He also directed the movie’Bhuli Huena’. Some of his television serials aired on doordarshan include, Asara Aloka, Shri Jagannath, Subhadra, Sara Akasa, Samaya Chaka, Sakalara Apeksha Re, Nadekhila loka dekhe, Mahagyan and Bidhata khela. In 2014 , he joined indian national congress. He stood election became a member of parliament from Bhubaneswar lok sabha and was defeated. Then he resigned the election. He was 70 . He was admitted to hospital due to suffering from a heart ailments. And underwent treatment at Hyderabad. He is survived by his wife Tandra Ray who is also an actor. He rushed to Care Hospital after his condition critical in the evening. He died in Care Hospital at the age 70 on 20 july in bbsr. He, however died while undergoing treatment. Chief minister Naveen Pattnaik and union petroleum and steel minister Dharmendra Pradhan mourned Mohanty’s death. He described Mohanty as a legendary personality. He occupies very special place in the heart of millions of fans across the state and outside. His contributions to odia film will leave an unforgettable imprint for all time. His demise mark end of an era in the odia film world.
3. Utam Mohanty
Uttam Mohanty is an odia actor who acted almost 135 movies and has 30 bengali movies and in the only hindi movie named ‘Naya Jahar’. He was born on 1954 balrampur in Bihar. He married to odia legendary actress Aparajita Mohanty and have one son named Babushan who is also an odia actor. He was from balrampur, Bihar but his grandfather settled in Baripada. He is from M. K. C. High school ans M. P. C college in commerce of Baripada. During his college deay he was very much attracted for acting. He was tried to play the lead part in drama. After graduation he went to Ludhiana for chartered accountancy. Till now he is closely associated with Baripada. Uttam now opted seriously for being an actor and slowly stabilized his position in odia film industry. When he was in Kolkata with his elder brother late Arun ku. Mohanty , he got an offer from director Dhir Biswal for his upcoming movie named Gouri. On his shooting he turned up with well dressed get up as possible suit. Director Sadhu told him to get makeup like poor man with dirty clothes. He come with the dirty clothes without makeup. The 1977 film was a Box office hit. The next film he did was Pati patni with co actress Mahesweta Roy. By the time he was established as a romantic star. He was especially adored for his effortless naturalism in front of the camera. He went to form successful screen pairs with many leading ladies like Rita chand. Sujata Anand, Tandra Roy, Mahesweta Roy, Aparajita, Baisali, Sangeeta Das even achana Banerjee and other non odia actress. He played many movies like Nijhum ratira sathi, Chinha achinha, Ramayana, Tapasya, Ram balaram are most of them. In the early eighties he played almost 20 movies with co actress Mahesweta Roy. Though they fell in love and decide to marry the love, did not last long and the pair separate. Palatak(1985) was their last movie. Uttam Mohanty now in Bhubaneswar working for odia tele serials. He is the only star in odia cinema horizon to have been at the top of nearly two decades. He has won many filmfare awards and prizes as a best actor.

4. Mihir Das
Mihir das is an Indian odia actor worked in odia language Film. He was born in 11 february 1959 Mayurbhanj. He achieve many film award, best actor for Laxmi pratima. He was married to singer and artist Sangita Das. They have two sons, the elder Amlan Das who is also an actor and Aklant Das. He achieve many film award, best actor for Laxmi pratima from state government 1998, Feria mo suna bhauni in 2005 and comedian actor for Mun tate love karuchi in 2007.He received wider applause recognition for his performance in Pua mora bhola sankara. 5. Sidhant Mohapatra

Ajit Das was a well-known odia film actor belongs to a middle class family from karanjia, odisha, India. His father was a government employee. He was married to Maya Das who is a homemaker. Ajit Das started his career as a actor. 7. Prasant Nanda
A very famous face and kind personality of Ollywood, Prashant Nanda was an actor, director, screenwriter, lyricist and also a playback singer born on 2may 1947.He was not the only fame of Ollywood but he made his name in Bollywood industry too. 8. Debu Bose
An acclaimed face and kind character of the Bollywood Debu Bose was conceived on 2 December 1942.He started his career with the film Tapasya in 1980s.A popular actor -dancer in both odia and bengali films,Bose had over 120 movies to his credit spanning over four decades. Debu Bose was also a dancer and a choreographer. He received training from Odissi dancer guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. Veteran odia actor Debu Bose was died last night on 22 August while undergoing treatment in a private hospital, in Hyderabad. He was 75 years old. He was undergoing treatment for the past four months after suffering two heart attack earlier. After his condition worsened, he was briefly put on ventilator. Then he passed away.

Distinguished odia film actor and director Hemanta Das, know as “tragedy king “of odia cinema was born in 1934 in kuranga, cuttack. He was a veteran odia film actor. The legendary actor of odia films with millions of fans of all age groups. Hemant Das is known for his soulful acting. He had lost his wife and son long ago. He was started his career with a newsreader in All india radio in New Delhi. Das made his debut in the odia film “Bhai Bhai”directed by Nitai Palit. He was like an every man in most of the movies, where he played the roles of a Vagabond or a ordinary villager. But without him no movie could be complete as viewers identified with him over last 5 decades. Hemanta Das, the household name in every odia family. The legendary actor was part of the directors-trio “Trimurti” with singer Akshay Mohanty and playwright Bijaya Mishra. Das had acted in more than 50 movies. One of his most popular movie “Sesha srabana ” released in 1976 which also stars Maheswata Roy and Prasant Nanda was remade in hindi titled Naiyaa (1979)directed by Prasant Nanda.
